About Us

DFW Samaj was founded in the year of 1991

DFW Gujarati Samaj, Inc. ("Samaj") is a registered 501(c) non-profit organization based in Texas. Founded in 1991, our mission has been to provide a platform for Gujaratis from all regions of Gujarat, India, who now call the DFW metroplex their home.

We achieve this mission through the dedicated efforts of our community volunteers and partners. Together, we work to promote and preserve the rich heritage and language of Gujarat, fostering cultural awareness among present and future generations.

This goal is achieved by Samaj, through its community volunteers, who with community partners plan, support and serve to promote and preserve the Gujarati heritage and language, which thereby, create and spread cultural awareness among the current and future generations.

Over the past three decades, Samaj has organized a wide range of charitable, social, religious, and youth activities throughout the DFW Metroplex. These initiatives, carried out by a cohesive group of Executive Committee members, Board of Trustees, and numerous volunteers, have transformed us into a thriving cultural organization.

Our online presence and engagement on various social media platforms, along with the biannual publication of our Gujarati magazine “Gurjari”, reflect our commitment to cultural enrichment.
