Ashit Desai has been honored throughout his musical career:
- Sang devotional songs for Oscar winning film "Gandhi"
- Music director of monumental TV serial "Chanakya"
- Conducted Pandit Ravi Shankar's orchestra in UK and Moscow
- At 18, he won the All India Radio's Best Singer Award in 1969. Gujarat State Award in 1976 and 1989.
